At a special sitting of the National Council on 4 May 2026, members unanimously resolved to expel the councillor and remove the person from the position of proportional representation councillor in the King Cetshwayo District Municipality. The party warned members of the public against alleged scam and extortion activities linked to the former councillor.
It stated that any such activities were not sanctioned by the party. The Inkatha Freedom Party issued the statement through its national spokesperson.
