South Korean Military Chief Inspects Coastal and Riverine Units Near Seoul

YonhapJin Yong-sung visited a Marine unit under the Second Marine Division in Gimpo and the Army's Capital Corps Command near Incheon on Tuesday. The chairman inspected operational readiness at both sites, according to a JCS release.
At the Gimpo site, he stressed the need to maintain heightened surveillance and vigilance in the area that serves as a key gateway to the capital. He also called for immediate response to any provocations by the enemy.
At the Capital Corps Command, the chairman called for maintaining a robust posture during the summer season. He underscored the importance of countering enemy drone threats and responding to illegal fishing activities in the neutral waters of the Han River estuary.
