SpaceX Stock Closes Below Debut Price at $149.29 While Blue Origin Raises $10 Billion

SpaceX stock hit an all-time low of $145.20 in midday trading on July 8 before closing at $149.29, below the company's $150 market debut price, Yahoo Finance reported. The shares had fallen 7 percent on July 7 despite the company's recent addition to the Nasdaq-100 index. The stock last traded above $200 on June 16.
Analysts noted that the index inclusion may have already been priced in, and broader Nasdaq weakness contributed to the decline. Blue Origin is raising $10 billion at a $130 billion valuation, the first public fundraise for the company, as first reported by the New York Times DealBook.
Coatue Management committed $4 billion, other large investors committed another $4 billion, and Jeff Bezos committed $2 billion.
Bezos had personally funded Blue Origin for the past 25 years. One of Blue Origin's New Glenn rockets exploded during a static engine test earlier in 2026, destroying the company's only launch pad. Bezos told CNBC in May that the company had enough visibility into its future and financial success to bring on outside investors.
Blue Origin plans to operate an enterprise-level satellite connectivity service called TeraWave using New Glenn rockets to launch satellites into medium earth orbit and low earth orbit.
