U.S. Special Operations Command has formally adopted Reveal Technology's Identifi platform as a program of record. The application runs on mobile devices and allows operators to collect fingerprints, facial scans, iris data and voice samples in the field. Collected data can be uploaded or matched against the Defense Department's Automated Biometric Identification System to identify individuals.

Technology acquired DFL Technology in 2024.

DFL had previously won a contract through SOFWERX, a nonprofit that connects SOCOM with private-sector technology solutions. DFL developed a prototype using input from SOCOM subject matter experts. The system won SOCOM's Tactical Biometric Event competition in 2023, which evaluated both technical and operational performance.

SOCOM has begun fielding the tool and plans broader deployment throughout the current fiscal year. Company officials said the contract value has not been disclosed. A company spokesperson noted that Reveal has received more than $13 million in Defense Department, General Services Administration and Small Business Administration contracts since 2019.

The firm has increased revenue tenfold year over year since its 2018 launch and raised $30 million in funding last July, doubling its workforce to more than 100 employees. A company executive stated that SOCOM is viewed as a trendsetter for the U.S. military and intelligence communities in adopting the technology.
