SPLC Official Shared Bank Accounts With Paid Informant

Court records describe an SPLC intelligence official who maintained joint bank accounts with a paid informant inside a neo-Nazi organization. The records state that donor money flowed through SPLC accounts into those joint accounts. The indictment identifies the official as "Employee-2," who held the title of director of the SPLC's Intelligence Project.

Between 2015 and 2021, approximately $140,000 moved from the SPLC operating account into the joint accounts, representing 66 percent of all deposits during that period. The same records state that the official used the funds for the couple's personal living expenses.

The informant, referred to as "F-9," stole 25 boxes of documents from the National Alliance headquarters in 2014.

The indictment says another informant, labeled "F-39," received $6,000 to take responsibility for the theft. Court documents note that Employee-2 wrote an article based on the stolen materials. The SPLC has filed a motion to dismiss the indictment, arguing the case constitutes vindictive prosecution. Neither the SPLC nor the official responded to requests for comment, according to the reporting.
