Premium subscribers can access them within their monthly audiobook allowance. 99 each.
The articles are offered in English in markets where Spotify already provides audiobooks. Spotify stated that the new format extends its existing music, podcast, and audiobook offerings. Colleen Prendergast, Spotify Audiobooks licensing lead, said the company is introducing long-form journalism in audio to meet audiences where they are and to build listening habits.
Spotify did not disclose whether the narration uses AI tools. The company declined to comment on the record about AI use when asked for clarification.
