Spurs announcer Jacob Tobey removed after Instagram post alleges affair
The San Antonio Spurs dismissed play-by-play announcer Jacob Tobey after an Instagram Story posted from his account stated he had cheated with the sister of a Spurs player. The post included a photo of Tobey and Loren Waters, sister of guard Lindy Waters III.

The San Antonio Spurs removed Jacob Tobey from his role as play-by-play announcer after an Instagram Story appeared on his account alleging an affair with Loren Waters, sister of Spurs guard Lindy Waters III. The post read: "This is my girlfriend of six years. But I cheated on her with Loren Waters.
So feel free to continue following me if you really think I'm a good guy because I'm not. "
He had previously called games for Fox Sports and the Pac-12 Network and had also performed the national anthem at Spurs games.
Tobey's social-media accounts were later set to private. The team has not issued a public statement on the change.
