New Star Wars Film The Mandalorian and Grogu Opens in Theaters May 22

The film was written and directed by Jon Favreau with cowriters Dave Filoni and Noah Kloor. It includes returning characters such as Zeb Orrelios, voiced by Steve Blum, and Carson Teva, played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee. The movie also stars Martin Scorsese and Matthew Willig. It features animatronic and puppet work centered on Grogu.

The Verge reported that the film contains strong puppetry and inverts the established character dynamic between the Mandalorian and Grogu. The same review noted that the story remains straightforward and that action sequences do not build significant stakes.
