Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers posted Instagram photos with relatives Monday showing a week of family gatherings ahead of his 22nd NFL season. The post followed an April high-school hall-of-fame induction where the quarterback introduced the group to applause and thanked them for their support.
Contact had resumed earlier at a 2023 Lake Tahoe golf tournament, where the quarterback described reconciliation as a matter of timing.
The quarterback had kept details of the nearly decade-long separation private until a 2024 Netflix series in which he said he wished his relatives no ill will. A junior-college coach was among friends who encouraged the reconnection, according to reporting by The Athletic.
The quarterback’s wife was not shown in the Monday photos. A niece and nephew were included in the images. The quarterback did not attend one relative’s 2022 wedding, and that relative was not invited to the quarterback’s spring 2025 wedding.
