Stephanie Pratt said she has reversed her earlier opposition to her brother Spencer Pratt's campaign for mayor of Los Angeles. In a statement emailed to Vanity Fair and published Wednesday, she wrote: "I admit I was the first person to tell people that they were idiots if they voted for my brother.

" She added that Spencer Pratt has spent every day since the Palisades Fire investigating allegations of wrongdoing, negligence, and mistakes surrounding the disaster.

February, Stephanie Pratt, 40, posted on social media that Spencer Pratt, 42, lacked the qualifications to serve as mayor. " She also stated that the city needed someone with work experience and expressed concern that Spencer Pratt was running to stay famous and sell a memoir. Those posts have since been deleted.

Pratt announced his candidacy on January 7, the first anniversary of the Palisades and Altadena wildfires that killed 12 people. He stated that the Los Angeles government system is "broken" and designed to protect those at the top. A representative for Spencer Pratt did not respond to a request for comment on Wednesday.

Other celebrities have both supported and opposed his bid ahead of the June 2 election.
