The company was founded in January 2026 by Tobias Estreen, Petrus Werner, Oskar Block, and Oscar Adamsson, all former McKinsey colleagues.
Estreen serves as lead data scientist at QuantumBlack, McKinsey's AI arm, while Werner works there as a data engineer. The startup builds software that uses AI agents to analyze patents for litigation, infringement searches, and portfolio reviews. Sixty percent of Stilta Stilta's revenue now comes from law firms and 40 percent from corporate legal departments, with enterprise customers including Roche and Maersk. Stilta Stilta competes with Patlytics and DeepIP in the patent software market. It turned down all other term sheets received during the fundraise and shared its pitch deck exclusively with Business Insider.
