M. Tuesday. The drivers initially continued past police before additional units responded and brought both cars to a stop. Officers issued field appearance tickets to Halee Salomon, 22, of Queens, and Jake Roth, 29, of Lake Ronkonkoma.

Both individuals were cited for unlawful speed contest, unlawful fleeing, reckless driving, and multiple traffic violations. They are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date. Police said the vehicles were seized and will remain impounded as evidence. Seven people were arrested in the Bronx on May 10 after a car meet-up that included reports of drag racing, according to the NYPD.
