The BBC reported that the T20 Blast men's Finals Day will take place on Saturday at Edgbaston, featuring Northants Steelbacks against Somerset in the first semi-final at 11:00 BST and Hampshire Hawks against Notts Outlaws in the second at 14:30 BST. The final is set for 18:45 BST. Somerset enter as defending champions with titles in 2005, 2023 and 2025.
The team finished second in the Central & West Group after seven wins and five defeats. James Rew leads the side with 427 runs while Daniel Sams has taken 19 wickets. Somerset lost four of their first six group matches before winning five of their last six, including two victories over Northants.
In the quarter-final they recovered from 82-8 to beat Yorkshire after Craig Overton scored 79 off 30 balls. Northants topped the Central & West Group with nine wins and three defeats. Chris Lynn leads with 475 runs and James Sales has 21 wickets.
The side won its first eight matches before losing twice to Somerset. In the quarter-final Northants bowled Gloucestershire out for 152 and chased the target with David Willey unbeaten on 47. Hampshire finished first in the South Group with eight wins and four defeats.
James Vince has scored 435 runs and Scott Currie has taken 22 wickets. The side defeated Essex by 75 runs in the quarter-final after Vince made 125 off 61 balls. Hampshire have reached Finals Day five times in the past six years.
Notts reached their seventh Finals Day after eight wins and four defeats in the North Group. George Munsey leads with 488 runs and Mohammad Ali has 19 wickets. The side lost its first three matches before winning nine of the next ten.
In the quarter-final Notts defended 164 against Surrey after Olly Stone took two wickets in the final over. Lewis Gregory told BBC Radio Somerset before the season that Somerset have been consistent over five to seven years and hope to become the first team to defend the title. James Vince told BBC Radio Solent that Hampshire face a tough test against Notts.
