TAG Nigeria Reaffirms Plan to Create Five Million Jobs by 2030

The humanitarian organisation operating under The Advertisement Group (TAG) Nigeria Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to creating over five million jobs for Nigerians within five years. The organisation was invited into Nigeria by the Federal Government through a Memorandum of Understanding to create the jobs between 2025 and 2030.

It stated that more than two million positions have already been filled across the country and expressed confidence the target would be reached ahead of schedule.

The announcement came during the organisation's June quarterly meeting at the Kaduna State University Auditorium. The event was themed "Celebration of Unity, Achievements and Excellence" and was held to raise awareness among youths and women about empowerment and self-reliance.

Officials said many students at the university have joined the initiative and are earning income while still enrolled. They noted that some participants no longer rely on family support and are now assisting relatives financially.

The organisation reported registering more than 4,000 beneficiaries in communities such as Sabon Tasha and Maraban Rido. Officials said the programme has reduced unemployment in the state and encouraged more residents to participate through shared success stories.

A Kaduna State team member described the quarterly meeting as a way to promote unity and inclusiveness regardless of religion or ethnicity. The organisation's primary mandate, the member said, is to improve lives by providing employment opportunities.

A director at the Kaduna South Communication Promoter Centre said the event was part of an awareness drive in communities with low membership. The programme aims to inform students and residents about available opportunities and to expand reach until every part of the state understands the initiative.
