Talent Agency Partner Subpoenaed in Lawsuit Involving Former Executive

A senior partner at a talent agency has been subpoenaed in connection with a lawsuit filed by RJ Cipriani against Jeff Shell, the former president of Paramount. ' The show was created by Cipriani and his wife, actress Greice Santo.

Court filings indicate the partner was involved in the representation of 'Star Serenade,' which is central to the lawsuit filed on March 9 in LA Superior Court. The subpoena also seeks information on the partner's conversations with attorney Patricia Glaser and Glaser Weil attorneys James Schreier and Barry Fink regarding Cipriani’s representation, any proposed agreements, or conflicts of interest.

Previously, Ari Emanuel was subpoenaed in the same case, with text messages between Cipriani and Emanuel included in both the lawsuit and Shell’s countercomplaint. Shell stepped down from his position earlier this month.

The partner's son Jordan, a junior agent at the agency who represents clients including Logan Lerman and Paul Bettany, received a similar subpoena. Agency partner Andrew Lear, whose clients include Sherri Shepherd and Rainn Wilson, was also subpoenaed.
