Taunton Softball Team Extends Win Streak to 62 Games After 8-7 Victory Over King Philip
The Taunton Tigers defeated the King Philip Warriors 8-7 in an eight-inning softball game on Saturday in Wrentham. Trailing 7-1 entering the seventh inning, Taunton rallied to tie the score and took the lead in the eighth. The win marks the team's 62nd consecutive victory.

Bourque said, "We know [the pitcher], we’ve been facing her for a while. " The pitcher commented, "I was really nervous, but I believed in myself in that spot.
" The coach added, "This is a high-pressure game, high pressure stakes that [the pitcher] is in. " This victory gives Taunton a 6-0 record and marks their seventh straight win over King Philip. Taunton's last loss was to King Philip in May 2023. The team has won the Division 1 state championship for the past five years.
