The note asked Hayes to play a Taylor Swift song while the girl did homework. Hayes read the note on camera and played "Love Story," with the girl singing along from her window. The video later reached Swift.
" The note continued: "You brought the biggest smile to my face! I'm sending you your own guitar, in case you ever want to learn too! Thanks again! " The girl's mother said Swift also sprayed perfume on the note.
The girl's mother wrote on Instagram that the past month had been a whirlwind and called the experience surreal and exciting for the family. Hayes later posted on TikTok that the girl was "very sweet" and said it was "very, very cool" to fulfill the request.
