Team plans dual-position role for injured player in 2026 season
The team intends to use the player at wide receiver and cornerback once cleared. Recovery from an October 2025 knee injury continues through the offseason.
The team plans to keep the player at both wide receiver and cornerback for the 2026 season, but he will not participate in football activities until cleared for a full return. The player tore his LCL in late October 2025 and missed the remainder of his first season. He has remained with the team during the offseason.
Recovery and conditioning Head coach Liam Coen said on 1010XL that the player has shown clear gains in strength. Coen added that he does not know when the player will receive clearance to resume full practice. "I'm extremely pleased with where Travis is at mentally and physically," Coen said.
"I'm not a doctor, I don't know when he is going to be full go but I do know that he runs on this field every morning with the guys and he's looking damn good. He's added so much mass on his upper half, he worked so hard in the weight room through the winter and this offseason.
" Coen told the player the injury represents a minor setback for a major comeback. The team will need that outcome to justify the draft selection used to acquire him.
