Team Signs Wide Receiver Samori Toure to Contract

A professional football team signed wide receiver Samori Toure to a contract on Monday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the signing, citing sources. Toure, 28, was selected by another team in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nebraska.

Toure made the active roster as a rookie and appeared in games before being placed on injured reserve in January 2024. The original drafting team released him last year. He later joined a different team’s practice squad and signed a futures contract in January before being released prior to the season.

Toure spent time on another team’s practice squad and was later waived by a fourth organization this offseason. In 2025, he appeared in one game and recorded one reception for three yards. The signing reunites Toure with an offensive coordinator who previously worked with him as an assistant coach.
