Squads have been confirmed for artistic gymnastics, athletics, bowls, boxing, judo, swimming, track cycling, and weightlifting. Netball and 3x3 wheelchair basketball squads remain to be finalized. Lists of selected athletes for each sport were released alongside the announcement.
"This group represents the very best of Welsh sport - dedicated, ambitious and proud to wear the red jersey," Team Wales chef de mission Gethin Jones said. Former Wales and British and Irish Lions fly-half Gareth Davies, appointed Chair of Team Wales in April 2023, said the announcement reflects years of planning across Welsh sport.
"I am very much looking forward to attending the Games and supporting the team as they represent Wales with pride on the world stage," he said.
