app.buzzsumo.comTechCrunch announced an extension of the Startup Battlefield 200 application deadline to June 8. The organization cited overwhelming demand from founders around the world as the reason for the change. One selected startup will receive $100,000 in equity-free funding. All participants receive a free exhibit table, four complimentary passes, branding in the event app, press exposure, and access to founder-only masterclasses.
More than 1,700 startups have participated in Startup Battlefield since its inception. Past participants have raised more than $32 billion and recorded over 250 exits, including acquisitions by Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Uber, and Amazon. Companies launched through the program include Dropbox, Discord, Mint, Fitbit, and Trello.
TechCrunch is accepting applications from bootstrapped, pre-seed, and seed-stage startups that have a working minimum viable product. Select Series A companies in capital-intensive sectors may also qualify. Applications are reviewed by the TechCrunch team, and thousands of startups are competing for a limited number of spots.
