Teddi Mellencamp Requested Weight Loss Medication During Stage 4 Cancer Treatment

Teddi Mellencamp, a former cast member of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," stated that she requested GLP-1 weight loss medication from her doctors while undergoing treatment for Stage 4 cancer. She explained that the request was due to weight gain from steroid medications.

Her doctors denied the request. Mellencamp shared this information during an episode of her podcast "Two Ts in a Pod" on April 22, 2026, while speaking with guest co-host Dolores Catania and co-host Tamra Judge. She noted that she knows people who could provide the medication but did not pursue it.

Treatment Mellencamp announced her Stage 2 melanoma diagnosis in October 2022. The cancer later progressed to Stage 4 and spread to her lungs. She underwent more than a dozen surgeries, including an emergency procedure in 2025 to remove several tumors in her brain. In October 2025, Mellencamp stated that her cancer was gone, following a three-year battle.

She added that it would take additional time before doctors could declare her in official remission.

February 2026, Mellencamp reported focusing on emotional and mental recovery through therapy. She described working to find peace, happiness, and joy after her health challenges. Earlier in April 2026, Mellencamp revealed she is dating an older man. She described him as positive, logical, and someone who makes her laugh.
