Teen slashed on neck near Rockefeller Center in early morning attack
An 18-year-old man was knifed on the neck around 1:55 a.m. in front of a 48-story office tower on the Avenue of the Americas near West 51st Street. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Police described the attacker only as a male and said the motive remains unknown.

The incident occurred in the NYPD’s Midtown North precinct. According to data updated Sunday, felony assaults in the precinct rose slightly compared to the same period last year. A total of 1,084 felony assaults were reported this year through the same date, compared with 1,074 in 2025.
Overall felony crime in the precinct fell more than 7 percent, with 4,491 cases this year versus 4,836 last year.
