Tesla has introduced the Model Y Long Wheelbase to buyers in the US and Puerto Rico nearly a year after its China release. The six-seat variant starts at $61,990 with deliveries set for September and October.
EngadgetTesla has launched the Model Y Long Wheelbase in the US and Puerto Rico and begun taking orders for the vehicle. Engadget reported that the model features a three-row six-seat layout with a six-inch wheelbase extension over other US Model Y versions. The vehicle includes heated and ventilated seats with touchscreen displays in the first and second rows.
Both the second and third rows offer one-touch folding, while the second row adds powered armrests and the third row provides power recline. Side airbags optimized for those rows are standard, and seats include either 50W charging pads or ports. Luggage capacity remains practical despite the added row.
The trunk accommodates one 28-inch and one 20-inch suitcase, and the frunk holds another 20-inch suitcase. The model delivers 325 miles of range and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Buyers receive 12 months of free access to Supervised Full Self-Driving and 12 months of free Supercharging.
After the initial period, Supervised Full Self-Driving requires a $99 monthly subscription. The base price stands at $61,990, nearly $22,000 above the most basic Model Y and $12,000 above the non-Long Wheelbase Premium variant. Tesla will begin deliveries between September and October 2026.
