Tesla Giga Berlin will add 14 light-duty electric trucks from JonwayEV to its internal logistics fleet. The vehicles will handle material flow and parts transport inside the factory. The IONAxs platform trucks provide a payload capacity of up to 500 kg, a top speed of 70 km/h, and more than 200 km of real-world range from a 23 kWh battery pack.

Deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2026.

JonwayEV stated that the selection followed a multi-stage evaluation by Tesla’s logistics and procurement teams. The assessment included vehicle performance, operational safety, service response times, and aftersales support. 6 kW onboard charger and all-season tires. Local support will be provided through JonwayEV’s German partner, Vecturo.

Large automotive factories rely on compact internal transport vehicles to move parts between production lines around the clock. Electric units reduce emissions and noise compared with diesel or LPG-powered alternatives. The announcement follows Giga Berlin’s production of its one-millionth drive unit on April 29, 2026.

"Tesla team tested every component of our vehicle and our support network. Passing that process confirms that our platform is ready for the world’s most demanding factory environments. We are proud to play a small part in Tesla’s mission.
