The IONAxs platform trucks provide a payload capacity of up to 500 kg, a top speed of 70 km/h, and more than 200 km of real-world range from a 23 kWh battery pack.
Deliveries are scheduled for the second half of 2026.
JonwayEV stated that the selection followed a multi-stage evaluation by Tesla’s logistics and procurement teams. The assessment included vehicle performance, operational safety, service response times, and aftersales support. 6 kW onboard charger and all-season tires. Local support will be provided through JonwayEV’s German partner, Vecturo.
Large automotive factories rely on compact internal transport vehicles to move parts between production lines around the clock. Electric units reduce emissions and noise compared with diesel or LPG-powered alternatives. The announcement follows Giga Berlin’s production of its one-millionth drive unit on April 29, 2026.
