Tesla Registrations Rise in Five European Markets During May

Tesla vehicle registrations rose in five European countries during May, according to figures released by local industry groups and reported by Reuters. Denmark recorded 1,750 new registrations, an increase of 136 percent from a year earlier. Spain posted 1,690 registrations, up 113 percent, while Sweden reached 858 registrations, a 71 percent gain.
Norway registered 3,345 Tesla vehicles, a 29 percent increase, and France recorded 5,446 registrations, more than seven times the total from May 2025.
Battery-electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid vehicles accounted for more than two-thirds of all new registrations across Europe in April, with total electrified vehicle registrations rising about 21 percent, according to ACEA. The company had lost market share in Europe during 2025 amid increased competition and a limited product refresh cycle.
