Corey Seager left Tuesday's game before his first-inning at-bat due to back discomfort, the Rangers said. The move came shortly after the shortstop returned from a June 11 concussion.

Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was removed from Tuesday's game before his at-bat in the first inning because of back discomfort, the team said. Seager had returned to the lineup after sustaining a concussion in a home-plate collision with Kansas City catcher Carter Jensen on June 11. He had also missed significant time earlier this season with back spasms that developed into inflammation.
Seager entered the game batting third. The Rangers used Cam Cauley as a pinch hitter in the first inning; Cauley popped out and remained in the game at second base while Nicky Lopez moved from second to shortstop. 182 with 10 home runs and 25 RBI in 50 games.
284 career hitter, he is in his fifth season with the Rangers after seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He had gone 1 for 10 with five walks in 15 plate appearances since returning from the concussion, ESPN reported.
