nypost.comA Texas woman has been charged with capital murder in the 2022 deaths of two San Antonio teens, police said. Angie Morales, 21, was taken into custody Monday in connection with the killings of Gregorio Ricardo Cordova-Mejia, 19, and Angel Ray Garcia, 15.
Morales, who was 17 at the time, allegedly used Instagram to arrange a meeting with the victims at the Union Pines Apartment complex. Court records show the teens were robbed and shot after arriving at the location.
Cordova-Mejia’s phone records indicated he had exchanged messages with Morales minutes before the July 29, 2022, shootings. The messages directed him to meet her at the apartment complex, and call records placed her phone in the area at the time of the deaths.
Police said a confidential informant provided information that led to Morales’ arrest. The victims’ mothers had recently made public appeals and funded billboards seeking new leads in the case. Morales has denied involvement. Her bail was set at $250,000.
