TF1 and Netflix Partner on WWII Drama Series Adapted from Ken Follett Novel

TF1 and Netflix have partnered to produce “Jackdaws” (“Le reseau corneille”), a six-part WWII drama series adapted from a novel by Ken Follett, as reported by Variety. ” Producers at Paris-based Empreinte Digitale, known for “Alter Ego,” are handling production along with Stéphanie Germain Productions.

Set in May 1944, days before the D-Day landings, the series follows a widowed mother who assembles a commando of five civilian women for a mission to infiltrate a château housing a German communications hub and destroy it.

The series is described as a premium event production. “Women at War,” Treiner's prior work, aired on both Netflix and TF1. This collaboration marks another joint project between the two companies in period dramas.
