A Thoroughbred horse won the Grade 2 San Diego Handicap at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club on July 18, 2026. The horse trailed by five lengths after missing the break but rallied to victory in the 85th running of the race. The horse is trained by Michael McCarthy and was ridden by jockey Umberto Rispoli.
It is owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Bridlewood Farms, Don Alberto Stable and additional partners.
The horse has competed in 14 starts, finishing in the top three in 13 of them. Its only finish outside the top three came in the 2025 Breeders' Cup Classic, where it placed fourth. Career earnings exceed $4.7 million.
McCarthy said the horse "is a warrior that just loves being a racehorse" and "always shows up." Its next start has not been announced. The 2026 Breeders' Cup at Keeneland has been mentioned as a possible target.
