Thousands of activists marched through central London on Saturday in the city’s LGBTQ+ Pride parade. Spectators cheered as floats carrying dancers and loudspeakers playing music passed through the streets. Many participants wore rainbow colors and carried Pride flags and fans during the hot and sunny afternoon.
Fellow activist Peter Tatchell stated that this year’s Pride is as important as ever. He pointed to Reform councils across the country banning Pride flags and wanting to remove books from shelves.
