All three candidates endorsed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani won their Democratic primaries Tuesday night. The winners defeated more moderate opponents in the contests.

Congressional Reaction Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., welcomed the incoming lawmakers.
He said Democrats in New York elected three new Democrats that will join the caucus. Johnson added that he looked forward to their participation. He stated the candidates were not anti-Israel but opposed the Israeli government. Johnson also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's relationship with President Donald Trump.
He said both were involved in starting the war with Iran. The three primary winners have all been critical of Israel's military campaign in Gaza.
