A man, a woman and a child died after falling from a high-rise block of flats in south London on Wednesday morning. Police were called at 7:29 a.m. to Churchyard Row in Elephant and Castle after reports that people had fallen from height. The three were pronounced dead at the scene despite resuscitation attempts.

Ambulance crews arrived within four minutes.

Resources dispatched included paramedics, a hazardous area response team and a trauma team from London's Air Ambulance.

Our first paramedic arrived in around four minutes. Very sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, three people were pronounced dead at the scene.

The deaths are being treated as unexpected. No other injuries were reported.

Work is under way to formally identify the three people. Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Detectives asked anyone with information to contact police on 101 and quote CAD 1613/27MAY.
