Three-Star EDGE Ma’atoe Moe Flips from Minnesota to Nebraska After Eight Days

benzinga.comClass of 2027 EDGE recruit Ma’atoe Moe committed to Nebraska eight days after pledging to Minnesota. The 6-foot-4, 240-pound three-star prospect from Provo, Utah, announced the flip on Monday morning. Moe had committed to Minnesota on May 31 following an official visit there.
He then took an official visit to Lincoln and chose Nebraska instead. Hayes Fawcett of Rivals reported the commitment change. The announcement came via social media on June 7, 2026. Moe cited the Nebraska staff’s welcome and his future positional coach as key factors.
“It was definitely how welcoming all the staff were to my family,” he told Rivals. “My family loved everything about Nebraska. ” He also praised the program’s community support. “The culture and the community that they have supporting the team is second to none,” Moe said.
“I would walk outside of local businesses and people would ask if I was a player and then they would just light up. The community treats the Nebraska football team amazingly, and it was incredible to witness. ” Roy Manning is Nebraska’s EDGE positional coach.
Matt Rhule is the head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. J. Fleck is the head coach of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. According to the 247Sports Composite, Moe is ranked as the No. 83 EDGE prospect nationally.
