Ticketmaster has canceled tickets purchased by scalpers for Harry Styles’ “Together, Together” residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with plans to release them back to fans at original prices. The residency, supporting Styles’ latest album “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” will run for 30 dates from August 26 to Halloween.

@NBCNews reported that Ticketmaster announced this update on X on April 22, 2026. Scalpers used multiple accounts and fake identities to circumvent ticket limits and resell for profit, according to Saumil Mehta, Ticketmaster President. He stated that the canceled tickets were not resold to fans.

Mehta added that the company is releasing the recovered tickets back to fans at the original prices in coordination with Harry Styles’ tour. The residency was a huge target for scalpers, who focused on the lowest-priced tickets to maximize resale margins, Mehta said. Data shows 19% of tickets to the residency shows are priced at $50.

Additionally, 77% of tickets are priced under $95, and 100% are priced under $130 according to original tour prices. Purchasers who bought tickets directly from Ticketmaster or received resale or transferred tickets in their Ticketmaster account are not affected, Mehta stated. The action does not apply to tickets for Harry Styles’ tour dates outside the New York City residency.

Styles’ tour spans from May to December 2026 and includes dates in Amsterdam, Sydney, Mexico City, London, and São Paulo. Anyone can request the recovered tickets at original low prices, but a request does not guarantee receipt, Ticketmaster said. Priority for ticket requests is given to people who do not already have tickets to any of the New York City shows.

M. m. ET. Fans can request tickets via the Harry Styles page on Ticketmaster during the designated window, with request links at the top of the page. Requests require submission of credit or debit card details, which will be charged if the request is accepted.

Fans can request a maximum of four tickets for up to five different shows. The maximum tickets a fan can receive from a request is eight total for two different shows. Accepted requests provide four tickets each for two different nights.

Tickets from each accepted request are all for one specific price per show, not varying prices. Tickets from each accepted request will be seated together. Submitters receive an email confirming the request.

M. ET, and their card is charged. If a request is not accepted, no second email is sent and no charge occurs. Ticketmaster released a statement on X on April 22, 2026, detailing these actions. The article detailing these events was published on April 23, 2026, at 5:10 PM EDT.

"We caught scalpers using multiple accounts and fake identities to get around ticket limits and resell tickets for profit," Mehta stated in the announcement. He emphasized that the company has “canceled” those tickets. "We’re now working with Styles’ tour to release them back to fans at the original price," he added.

Mehta noted that scalpers targeted the lowest-priced tickets for the biggest margins. The residency's pricing structure includes a significant portion of affordable seats, with all under $130. This move follows Ticketmaster's efforts to combat scalping in high-demand events like Styles' global tour.

Disco, Occasionally” underpins the residency's theme. The New York dates are part of a broader tour hitting international cities. Fans without tickets are prioritized in the request process to ensure broader access.

The request system limits fans to requesting for up to five shows but caps fulfillment at two. All tickets in an accepted request are grouped by price and seating. Confirmation emails provide clarity on outcomes by early May.

Ticketmaster's action underscores ongoing challenges with ticket scalping in the music industry. The residency's run through Halloween adds to its appeal in New York City. These details were reported as of April 23, 2026.
