Tim Hardaway Jr. signed a one-year contract with the Miami Heat on June 30. The move adds a veteran three-point shooter who led the NBA in bench makes last season. The Heat had previously retained Andrew Wiggins.

Tim Hardaway Jr. agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Miami Heat, ESPN reported June 30. Hardaway started 77 games for the Detroit Pistons in the prior season. He joined the Denver Nuggets last offseason and played 26.6 minutes per game while making 205 three-pointers off the bench, the most in the NBA.
He converted more than 40 percent of his three-point attempts for the first time in his 13-year career and placed third in Sixth Man of the Year voting. Earlier this offseason the Heat agreed to a new deal to keep Andrew Wiggins.
