Timberwolves Top Nuggets 112-96 in Game 4, Take 3-1 Series Lead Amid Late Ejection

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets 112-96 in Game 4 on Saturday night, taking a 3-1 series lead. Ayo Dosunmu scored 43 points for the Timberwolves in the game. The victory positions Minnesota one win away from advancing to the Western Conference semifinals.

Jaden McDaniels scored a layup in the final seconds of the game. Nikola Jokic took exception and quickly approached Jaden McDaniels. The confrontation between Jokic and McDaniels escalated into a face-to-face altercation.

Players from both teams separated Jokic and McDaniels. Nikola Jokic was ejected following a skirmish with Jaden McDaniels and other Minnesota players.

Nikola Jokic said 'Because he scored and everybody stopped playing' about confronting McDaniels. Jokic also said 'Come on guys, you saw what happened' about the confrontation.

David Adelman, head coach of the Denver Nuggets, said 'I didn’t like what McDaniels did' in his postgame press conference. Adelman added, 'The game was over... in 2026 that stuff just doesn’t happen anymore.'

Jaden McDaniels is a two-way forward for the Timberwolves. Anthony Edwards sustained an injury on Saturday night. Despite the injuries, the Timberwolves held on to win.

Nikola Jokic shot 8-of-22 from the field for 24 points in the game. Jokic committed four turnovers in the game.

Through four games, Nikola Jokic averaged 25 points per game. Following the Nuggets' 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves, the Serbian center thought a particularly important item of clothing had gone missing after getting out of the shower.

Nikola Jokic said 'Someone stole my underwear' in the locker room. The Nuggets are scheduled to play Game 5 against the Timberwolves on Monday night in Denver.
