Titans QB Cam Ward Progressing Toward Minicamp After Shoulder Injury

Cam Ward, quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, is on track to resume throwing at the team's minicamp in June 2026 following a right shoulder injury sustained in the regular-season finale on January 4, 2026. Ward injured his throwing shoulder after landing awkwardly on it during a 7-yard touchdown run against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The injury was diagnosed as a sprained right AC joint and did not require surgery.

" Ward completed the 2025 NFL season having played every offensive snap for the Titans through Week 17, finishing with 3,169 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. In January 2026, Ward said he was working on the base of his mechanics without changing his throwing motion and that his mechanical improvements were on schedule.

The Titans have a new coaching staff, including head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, and quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney.

Saleh described Daboll as "the perfect man to unlock Cam Ward's potential," citing Daboll's history of developing quarterbacks like Josh Allen. Daboll's focus for Ward is on tweaking footwork to improve his base and consistency, aiming to enhance Ward's ability to make plays from the pocket without limiting his capacity to play out of structure.

The Titans' minicamp is scheduled for June 2026, followed by training camp in late July 2026.
