Toronto Police Officer Killed During Apartment Search Warrant; One Suspect in Custody, Second at Large

Consulate building. In that incident, two men fired multiple rounds at the empty diplomatic building before sunrise, damaging the exterior but causing no injuries, according to Toronto police. One suspect was taken into custody at a hospital after the Thursday shooting.
A second suspect, identified as 19-year-old Zara Jabbi, remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Demkiw asked anyone who sees Jabbi to call 9-1-1 immediately. Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said she has known the mother of the deceased officer for 20 years.
“Their grief is shared across this city,” Chow said. S. ” Canada’s federal police stated that the investigation into the consulate shooting would determine whether it amounted to a “terrorist” event.
