Toulouse Olympique defeated York Knights 30-22 at Stade Ernest-Wallon on July 18. The hosts led 28-0 at halftime before adding two second-half points while York scored 22. Toulouse scored first-half tries through Jake Shorrocks, Luke Polselli, Olly Ashall-Bott, Paul Ulberg and Henry O'Kane, with Shorrocks adding five goals.
York replied in the second half with tries from Oli Field, Sam Wood, Nikau Williams and Tom Inman, and Jon Bennison kicked three goals. The result followed Toulouse victories of 60-18 against Catalans Dragons and 46-0 against St Helens. Shorrocks signed a new two-year contract with Toulouse during the week.
Toulouse head coach Sylvain Houles said the team was happy to secure the two points after only one prior home win this season. He added that three wins in a row marked a first for the club in Super League. York head coach Mark Applegarth described the match as a tale of two halves and said his side left itself with too much to do after a first-half performance that lacked intent and connection.
