Trace Cyrus posted videos on his Instagram Stories on Friday accusing his sister Brandi Cyrus of renting him a mold-infested home and refusing to refund his money. The 37-year-old opened the post by saying he had tried to be “really fing nice” before describing the property. ” Trace Cyrus said he had only recently obtained clean water and had previously lacked it entirely.

He added that he is currently sleeping on an air mattress downstairs. He stated that the ongoing issues forced him to move again, preventing him from releasing his album or music this summer as planned. Trace Cyrus said Brandi Cyrus does not want to refund his money.

A representative for Brandi Cyrus did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. This is not the first public dispute involving Trace Cyrus and his family. Tish Cyrus divorced Billy Ray Cyrus in 2022.

In June, Trace Cyrus publicly criticized his father for attending a fashion show in Italy with Elizabeth Hurley instead of his grandmother’s funeral in Los Angeles. Trace Cyrus claimed that Billy Ray Cyrus demanded a $60,000 private jet but still did not attend the funeral. In 2025, Miley Cyrus stated on Monica Lewinsky’s “Reclaiming” podcast that the family healed their wounds without therapy.
