Trade simulation yields one offer for four players

A simulation of the trade market produced 16 offers for four players and resulted in one completed deal. The exercise tested possible exchanges of draft selections for each player.

Officials have stated that one player remains under contract through the 2027 season after a prior restructuring lowered the 2026 cap figure to $7.775 million. A third-round selection was used on another player expected to fill a depth role. A general manager said the organization views the player highly for both production and leadership.

The same statement indicated no change in plans after the recent draft.

One proposed exchange would send a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick in return for the player and a 2028 sixth-round pick. Another offer would bring a 2027 fifth-round pick for the player. A third proposal would deliver a 2028 fifth-round pick for the player and a 2028 seventh-round pick.

A fourth offer would provide a 2027 fourth-round pick for the player and a 2028 sixth-round pick. The simulation concluded with one deal accepted and the remaining offers declined.
