Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said President Trump's cryptocurrency holdings do not create an appearance problem. He made the statement during a Thursday interview with CBS News anchor Kelly O'Grady. Bessent described the administration as an "innovation presidency" that includes digital assets and artificial intelligence.

Financial disclosures Documents released Tuesday showed Trump earned more than $526.8 million from World Liberty Financial last year. " The U.S. Office of Government Ethics report detailed more than $2 billion in total earnings for Trump last year. That figure included $220 million from holdings in large U.S. corporations.
Trump told CNBC on Thursday that he had no knowledge of the cryptocurrency investments. He added that knowing about them would not be illegal or improper.
