Tropical Depression Caloy (Hagupit) weakened from a tropical storm into a tropical depression on Sunday morning, May 10, 2026. Its maximum sustained winds decreased from 65 km/h to 55 km/h and gustiness fell from 80 km/h to 70 km/h, according to the 11 am bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration.
As of 10 am on May 10, 2026, the depression was located 770 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, and was moving northwest at 10 km/h.
It is not directly affecting any part of the Philippines, Rappler reported. Caloy’s trough may bring scattered rain showers to parts of Eastern Visayas and Caraga starting Sunday night, May 10, 2026, PAGASA Weather Specialist Grace Castañeda said. For now the whole country continues to experience generally fair weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
