True Anomaly announced last month that it raised $650 million in a Series D funding round. 2 billion. U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command to develop prototype technologies for the Pentagon's Golden Dome missile defense initiative.

The Series D round was co-led by Eclipse and Riot Ventures.

Additional investors included Paradigm, Atreides, G Squared, The Private Shares Fund, VanEck, Accel, Menlo Ventures, and Meritech Capital. True Anomaly said it will use the new capital to expand manufacturing and hiring. Plans include producing up to 50 Jackal spacecraft per year at a facility near Denver and expanding operations in Long Beach, California.

Anomaly develops spacecraft and software for military operations in orbit. CEO Even Rogers said the company is investing in staff, products, and infrastructure to build combat capability for space warfare. Rogers told Bloomberg TV that the Space Force budget is expected to reach roughly $72 billion.

He said this reflects growing demand for orbital defense and surveillance systems. The company has grown from roughly 150 employees last year to about 300 employees today. It has completed initial on-orbit tests of its Jackal spacecraft and plans future missions in geostationary orbit, tactically responsive Space Force programs, and cislunar operations.
