The Trump administration on Monday announced it is adding more than 600 generic drugs to its direct-to-consumer sales website, TrumpRx. The platform, which launched in February, previously offered only select branded medications from manufacturers that agreed to voluntary price reductions.

President Donald Trump said the expansion increases the number of products on the site by nearly seven times.

The administration added features that connect patients to the lowest-priced pharmacy in their area and provide a home-delivery option for prescriptions. It is also partnering with companies including Mark Cuban's Cost Plus Drug Company, Amazon Pharmacy and GoodRx.

Cuban and executives from the partner companies attended the event. gov consumers will now have one source to ensure that they're getting the lowest possible cost on their prescription, so they have a real option now today," Trump said.

Until Monday, TrumpRx listed only branded products from manufacturers that struck deals with the administration to lower prices on certain medicines. Those included blockbuster obesity drugs from Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk, which have been available since the site's February launch.

Trump stated the platform has been visited more than 10 million times and has saved Americans more than $400 million. The site does not sell drugs directly but directs users to manufacturers' discount programs or provides coupons for use at pharmacies.

It primarily targets patients willing to pay cash and forgo insurance coverage.
