Trump Approval at 38 Percent in July 2026 Echelon Survey, Down from 51 Percent in January 2025
A new Echelon Insights poll shows President Trump’s overall approval at 38 percent and disapproval at 61 percent. Support among voters with a high school education or less reached a new low in the series at 41 percent approve and 57 percent disapprove.

President Trump’s approval rating stands at 38 percent with 61 percent disapproving, according to the Echelon Insights July 2026 Omnibus Survey. Among voters with a high school education or less, approval measured 41 percent and disapproval 57 percent. The survey was conducted July 9–13 among 1,004 likely voters and carried a margin of error of plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.
The same poll series recorded Trump’s overall net approval at minus 8 in July 2025 and plus 8 in January 2025. The July 2025 survey sampled 1,084 registered voters and the January 2025 survey sampled 1,024 likely voters, each with a margin of error near 3.5 to 3.6 points.
The administration said the president’s agenda is still “taking effect,” with further results expected in the months ahead. An analysis of AP-NORC polling found approval among independents without a college education dropped from around half before Trump took office to about one-quarter by early 2026.
