Trump-Backed Candidate Challenges Massie in Kentucky Primary
Primary elections are scheduled Tuesday in six states. President Trump has endorsed candidates in several races, including a challenge to Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky.

Thomas Massie is facing a primary challenge from former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein. Trump has backed Gallrein in the race. Nearly $33 million has been spent on advertising in the contest, according to the ad-tracking firm AdImpact. The spending level exceeds that of any other House primary in U.S. history.
Massie has represented Kentucky in Congress since 2012. He has differed with Trump on issues including government spending, foreign policy and the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Georgia, voters will select nominees for Senate and governor. Trump has endorsed Lt. Gov. Burt Jones in the gubernatorial primary. The Georgia Senate primary includes Reps. Mike Collins and Buddy Carter. Former college football coach Derek Dooley is also running.
Trump has endorsed Rep. Barry Moore in Alabama's Senate primary. The race to replace retiring Sen. Tommy Tuberville will advance to a June 16 runoff if no candidate receives a majority of votes Tuesday. Trump backed Rep. Andy Barr in Kentucky's Senate primary earlier this month.
Businessman Nate Morris ended his campaign after accepting an ambassadorship from Trump.
