U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington will declare “total victory” over Iran within two weeks. The statement was made after Iran and Israel agreed to a ceasefire.

Trump made the remarks during a tele-rally with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. According to multiple reports citing the event, Trump stated that Iran “is now negotiating” and “wants to make a very good deal” that “leaves the country with no nuclear weapon.” He has repeatedly called for Iran to surrender its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

Trump also said oil prices will come tumbling down. The ceasefire agreement between Tehran and Israel followed U.S. strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites conducted on June 22, 2025. A ceasefire was reached two days later.

This is not the first time Trump has referenced a two-week timeline for developments in the Middle East. Similar periods were cited in April 2025 in relation to military assistance for Ukraine and in May 2025 regarding talks with Vladimir Putin.

Senator Lindsey Graham, who is fundraising ahead of Tuesday’s GOP Senate primary in South Carolina, has been one of the most vocal proponents of the Iran conflict in the Senate. Most polls show him above 50 percent, and he is expected to win outright and avoid a runoff. Graham once called Trump a demagogue.
