Campaign Nucleus to handle fan registration for World Cup Fan Zone on National Mall
A digital firm led by a former Trump campaign official is collecting contact information from people signing up for official World Cup watch parties in Washington, D.C. The same company also manages ticketing for other events tied to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The IndependentA company founded by former Trump campaign official Brad Parscale will collect emails and phone numbers from people registering for the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone on the National Mall. The Fan Zone opens at 2 p.m. Thursday. Anyone who signs up receives a receipt and barcode that carries the logo of Campaign Nucleus, the firm handling registration.
Nucleus earned nearly $2 million in 2024 from the Trump campaign and Republican groups for online rally registration, email distribution, and press releases. The company also manages media and ticketing for Freedom 250 events marking the semiquincentennial. Sign-ups for the Great American State Fair produce emails bearing the same Nucleus logo.
The firm’s founder rose to prominence in 2016 by running targeted online advertising for the Trump campaign. He later served as campaign manager in 2020 before stepping away after an incident at his Florida home. He has since returned to political work and was hired last year by Israel for a multimillion-dollar social media campaign.
Campaign Nucleus did not respond to questions about data handling practices. The Washington Examiner reported that the firm won a standard commercial contract to provide the registration system for the Fan Zone event.
